What is a Friend Request on Facebook?

Then they will determine whether or not they want to embrace it. If they do, you will be added to their Friends list and will be able to access all of their information shared with the privacy setting ‘Friends.’
How to view your sent Friend Requests on Facebook
We all know how other users might view Friend Requests. But not a lot of people know you can actually see all of the Friend Requests you’ve ever submitted that were not approved. These requests are listed by the date they were sent, chronologically.
On iPhone and Android app
To view your sent Friend Requests using the Facebook Mobile app, launch the app, and tap the hamburger menu in the top right corner. Now select ‘Friends’ from the menu.
You should see a list of all the users that have sent you Friend Requests. Tap ‘See All’ beside ‘Friend Requests’.
Now tap the three dots in the top right corner. Tap ‘View Sent Requests’ to pull up a list of all the Friend Requests you have ever sent on Facebook that have not yet been accepted.
You can view your sent Friend Requests on a PC by visiting the Facebook website using a web browser.
Once you have logged in with your credentials, click ‘Friends’ in the left side panel (new UI).
On the left side, you will see a list of all the users that have sent you Friend Requests. Click ‘See All’ beside ‘Friend Requests’.
Now click ‘View sent requests’ in the left panel. This will pull up a list of all the Friend Requests you have ever sent on Facebook that have not yet been accepted.
Can you cancel a sent Friend Request?
Yeah, you should! Facebook lets you cancel a Friend Request at any time if it is not approved by the user. Annulment of a Friend Request will in no way alert the recipient. If you have recently sent the Friend Request, however, and the person has seen the message, then they will note when the message is gone.
Using the above guide you can quickly cancel a Friend Request by finding your sent Friend Requests and then selecting ‘Cancel Request’ next to the user name.
How long do Friend Requests last?
Friend Requests have no expiry date close to your frozen burrito. They stay on a Facebook account until you uninstall them manually or cancel the order. You can also see how old a sent Friend Request is on the mobile app from Facebook using the above form.
The date beside the user’s name indicates how long ago you sent the Friend Request. This is only visible on the mobile app.
How many times can you send a Friend Request?
If you have sent a Friend Request on Facebook, you can not send another request to the same person until you cancel the previous request. When a Friend Request is cancelled the user will not be informed. But they will get a notice when you give them a new one.
There’s no cap to how many times you can cancel a Friend Request and give the same person a new one. When you submit a new request for a friend, your name will rise to the top of their Friend Requests list.
