How To Update Among Us On PC
Method 1: Hit the update button (Easiest method)

Method #2: Update all files of the game (still easy)
For PC users using Steam, Among Us is currently open. You will need to use the Steam client on your Windows desktop if you want to upgrade the game to its latest version. Ideally, Steam upgrades all of the games in your library to their new version automatically. If you haven’t updated your game automatically for some reason, or you’ve switched off automatic updates, then here’s a simple way to update your Steam games manually.
Open the Steam app on your PC and click on the ‘Library’ at the top.
Now find and right-click on ‘Among Us’ in the left sidebar where you will see a list of all your games.
Select ‘Properties’.
Now click on ‘Local Files’ at the top of the window.
Finally, click on ‘Verify Integrity of game files’.
Steam will also search all of your system’s local installation data. The client will be able to recognise the obsolete version of the game during this process, which will be completed automatically until the integrity of the game files has been checked.
Note: This process can take some time depending on your local storage transfer speeds, network connectivity, and steam server response time. Ideally, this should take around 10 mins maximum.
Update Among Us On Android
Android users can update the game easily from the Play Store. If you have trouble upgrading Among Us from the Play Store, you can use the second guide below to help update your computer with the new .Apk file. Let’s go to each of these procedures for a look.
Method 1: Update from the Play Store
Unlock your Android device and launch the Play Store. Now tap on the ‘Menu’ icon in the top left corner of your screen.
Tap on ‘My apps & games’.
A list of all the applications currently installed on your smartphone with updates available will now be displayed right at the top. In the list, scroll and find Among Us.
Now tap on ‘Update’ beside it.
Play Store should now automatically start updating Among Us for you. Once the update is completed, you can launch and play the latest version of the game.
Method 2: Update manually using APK

Scroll down and you’ll see a list of all the updates for Among Us open. The most recent update should be at the very top of the file you need to download. Looking at their related release dates in the date column would be a safe way to find the latest update. The latest update to Among Us was published on September 11, as of the writing of this post.
Tap on the ‘Download’ icon beside the file you wish to download.
Now tap on ‘Download APK’ at the bottom.

The latest version of Among Us should now be installed on your Android device.
Update Among Us On Bluestacks
Well, since you are running Android OS within the BlueStacks emulator, you can use any of the two methods provided above for Android to update the Among Us game in your BlueStacks program.
Obviously the best way is to update the game through the BlueStacks Play Store app. So in BlueStacks, just open the Play Store app, check for Among Us, open its listing, and tap the update button.
Sure, you can also use Method 2 (as provided above for Android) in BlueStacks in case that doesn’t work. Get a BlueStacks browser like Chrome here, open it, visit the APKmirror website, find the new APK file for Among Us, download it and then install the APK file.
If you have installed Among Us from an app store bundled with Bluestacks, you might not be able to upgrade the app from third-party sources. Simply delete the game installed on your computer and use the .APK file you just downloaded to perform the new installation.
Update Among Us On iPhone and iPad
iOS users will simply update Among Us on their devices using the App Store. Apple devices are designed to automatically update software out of the box. Open Steam and click on ‘Library’ at the top.
Now right-click on ‘Among Us’ in the left sidebar.
Click and select ‘Properties’.
Now click on the ‘Betas’ tab at the top.

Select ‘public-beta-’.

Now if you have automatic updates enabled, then the game will automatically update itself to the public beta.
The time it takes to update the game will depend on your network speed. If you do not have automatic updates enabled, then simply click on the ‘Update’ icon as shown below.

Latest Updates
November 26, 2020: As part of a new update, Innersloth has announced a bunch of additions and upcoming features to Among Us. The most notable of this is that developers eliminate advertisements in full at least until 2021 to maximize everyone’s playing experience. Innersloth claims there have been a lot of problems with unwanted smartphone advertising, which is why it bans advertisements for all and provides something special for those who paid to exclude ads.
The disclosure of a new map, which is not yet out, was another big announcement in this update, but Innersloth gave us a glimpse of what is to come.
Other additions and upcoming news include:
- Support for new languages incoming: French, Italian, German, Spanish EU and LA, Dutch, Russian, BR and EU Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Filipino (Bisaya)
- Account creation will soon be possible letting you add friends and play with them as well as help Innersloth moderate the game by reporting suspicious players and hackers
- Balance changes:
- Comms sabotage hides task arrows
- Comms red light no longer immediately responds to the correct position
- Bug fixes:
- Fixed camera flinging on security cams
- Fixed inaccurate admin table on Polus
- Fixed Polus panels reachable through walls
- Fixed temperature mini-game in Polus for iOS
- Fix solo-complete reactor/seismic exploit
- Fix align engine exploit and soft lock
Innersloth has also announced that their famous game has also been nominated for two awards for The Game Awards-Best Multiplayer and Best Mobile Game, in addition to the aforementioned updates and news.
November 4, 2020: Innersloth has released a small update to Among Us that adds a handful of tiny additions to the game that help you play it better. In the gameplay, there are no substantial improvements, but the developers have revealed that they continue to hammer out anti-hacks and bug fixes. In addition, here are the modifications available in the latest version of Among Us:
- Anonymous Voting option (All votes appear as grey)
- New Task Bar Modes
- Always mode works like normal
- Meeting mode only updates the bar during meetings
- Invisible mode removes the taskbar entirely
- Comms sabotage in MIRA clears the security logs as well
- New symbols available for fix wires task
- The meeting screen gets a cosmetic update
Innersloth has also provided the game with a rough collection of upcoming features, but an accurate roadmap is currently not available. They include:
- A new map based on Henry Stickmin, larger than Polus with new tasks, available for free for everyone
- Accounts for everyone so you can add friends and report those that are toxic and/or hacking
- Colorblind support
- Translations/Localization: Support for multiple languages and professional translations
