First, you need to download the app from the Play Store. Keep your new iPhone with you on the setup screen. Now, open the app on Android and go through setup screens. After that, the app will ask you to add the code from the iOS device to Android. Enter the code and the transfer process will start.

But, what if your contacts aren’t saved on the Android phone and are in a different Gmail account altogether? In that case, you can use the trick below to get the job done.

ADD GMAIL ACCOUNT ON IPHONE

Apple provides a central solution to add, delete, and manage all email IDs. Go to Settings > Passwords & Accounts > and add the new Gmail account.

After a successful attempt, the account will appear in the same menu for additional adjustments.

Now, open the Gmail tab, and you will see the ability to sync Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and Notes to iPhone.

Toggle-on the required services, and you will see the data in the respective apps. The Email app will showcase the Gmail account and the Contacts app will sync the Gmail contacts. The Gmail events will get added to the default Calendar app.

USE SUPER BACKUP APP

Google Play Store is filled with excellent contacts and message backup solution. One such app is the Super Backup app.

First, you need to download the app from the Play Store. Open the app, and the home screen will let you backup everything, including apps, SMS, Contacts, Call Logs, and more.

Tap on the Contacts tab and then choose backup all options. It will ask you to create a VCF file and let you rename it.

After a successful file generation, send the file to the iPhone using Bluetooth or Email or any other platform.

Open the file on iPhone and the file will import the backup of the contacts on the iPhone.

CHANGE DEFAULT CONTACT LOCATION ON IPHONE

By default, the iPhone adds the new contacts to the iCloud platform. It can create a mess for Gmail users as they rely on the backup of their contacts on Google’s platform.

Go to Settings > Contacts > Default Account and change it to Gmail.

BACKUP CONTACTS TO ICLOUD

Now that you have added the contacts from your old device, Gmail, and SIM to iPhone, it’s time to back up the contacts to Apple’s iCloud platform. Let me explain why you need to do that.

Apple provides a robust backup and restores function when switching from one iPhone to another (something iOS is known for compared to Google’s messy solution). It’s essential to back up the required data to iCloud to make a smooth transfer.

You need to go to Settings > Profile > iCloud and switch-on back up for contacts, messages, calendars, and more.

MANAGE CONTACTS LIKE A PRO

Use the tricks above for moving contacts from all the places to the new iPhone. Also, don’t forget to take a backup with the iCloud platform. You can as many Gmail accounts on the iPhone and sync the personal and work contacts in it. For offline usage, opt for VCF file creation and save it for future use.
